Saint Mary Cathedral prepares children to receive the Holy Eucharist -- the source and summit of our Catholic faith. At this time children are also prepared for the sacrament of Reconciliation.
Children need to be at least 7 years of age, in the second grade, by the time classes begin in August.
Because preparation for the Eucharist and Reconciliation is part of an ongoing parish religious education program, regular attendance for the year of formation is required.
Families are encouraged to participate in the Cathedral's religious education program, and parental involvement is necessary.
Religious education classes are held in English from 10:45 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. on Sundays. A bilingual catechist is available in every classroom for the younger grades, and parent information is available in Spanish.
Please complete the registration forms and provide a copy of the child’s Baptismal certificate and birth certificate.
