Saint Mary Cathedral is located on 10th Street, between Brazos Street and San Jacinto Boulevard in downtown Austin. Saint Mary Cathedral shares a parking garage which is available for week day and weekend parking. The entrance to Capitol Towers Parking Garage is located off San Jacinto Boulevard. Visitors attending Mass on week days may obtain a parking token from the Cathedral Office upon returning to their vehicle, you may park in any of the unmarked parking spaces--usually located on the 7th floor and up.  Parking tokens are not required on Saturdays or Sundays to park in the Capitol Towers Garage.

UPDATED PARKING INFORMATION
Maintenance work on the Capitol Tower Garage will commenced this week and will continue through the end of September 2013. We ask your patience as this work will involve some adjustment accessing the alley and parking in the alley. The alley will be closed to through traffic via Brazos Street.

During the week, everyone is strongly encouraged to park in the Capitol Tower Parking Garage, accessible via San Jacinto Blvd., or pay for parking at one of the meters. Tokens are available in the Cathedral Office or Cathedral School Office. Access to the alley via Brazos Street will be closed.

On weekends, everyone is strongly encouraged to park in the Capitol Tower Parking Garage, accessible via San Jacinto Blvd., or pay for parking at one of the meters—street parking is free on Sundays. Access to the alley via Brazos Street will be closed.

  • It is strongly recommended that you park in the Capitol Tower Parking Garage behind the Cathedral. Parking there is free for parishioners; just tell the attendant you were at the Cathedral. The entrance is located on San Jacinto Street.
  • A small loading zone exists in front of the Cathedral office on 10th Street for our parishioners with mobility issues to park when visiting.
  • The alley behind the Cathedral has a limited number of handicapped and visitor parking spaces.
  • Streets surrounding the Cathedral on all sides are lined with parking meters, which are free Monday-Wednesday after 6:00 p.m. and all day on SundayPlease read the parking restrictions on the meters before leaving your vehicle.
